Handwoven kilim wall hanging in blue and black, featuring a combination of different textures and weaving techniques.
I made this piece using 2nd hand wool, cotton, acrylic and polyester cords. I combined different yarns, textures and weaving techniques to create a layered surface with a three dimensional effect.
The different materials and textures give the piece a tactile and expressive character while keeping the colour palette simple and bold.
The kilim is finished with a natural wooden stick and is ready to hang.
