This is a handwoven kilim wall hanging with a heart motif at the centre, in green, brown and beige tones.
I made this piece using 2nd hand acrylic wool and cotton macramé cord. The combination of earthy colours gives the kilim a warm and natural character.
Three different levels of fringe create an interesting layered effect and add extra dimension to the piece, making the texture an important part of the design.
