This is an original canvas created to mark the bicentennial of the birth of Carlo Collodi, the author of The Adventures of Pinocchio.
Pinocchio is a story most of us know, but I wanted to approach it in a quieter, more personal way — focusing on the feeling behind the character rather than just the tale itself. As I am a huge tree lover, I tried to capture the roots of Pinocchio - the wood, the tree. The nature of his origin. I think I couldn’t show it better than exactly this way. I hope you like it :)
